Physalis minima L. is a perennial medicinal herb which belongs to the family
Solanaceae. Shoot tip and nodal explants of Physalis minima (L) were used for direct
multiple shoot induction. The explants were cultured on MS basal medium with B5 vitamins
and supplemented with different concentrations of plant growth regulators like BAP, KIN,
IAA, GA3 and NAA. The highest percentage of multiple shoots was achieved from shoot tip
(87.5 %) and nodal (89.2 %) explants at BAP 2.0 mg/l and NAA 1.0 mg/l. The multiple
