Debra Tyler Horton of the Justice Center describes the link between OD work and organizational success by looking at how their OD activities changed the Justice Center: “There’s been a
change in the staff’s mentality about how they do their work. When I came, people were project driven and had a stand-offish attitude about bringing people together. They didn’t see the need to become one organization. The OD work brought us together and created change in the staff’s and board’s thinking. It helped us to function and do the work we needed to do. It’s the basis, the groundwork; the only way to be successful is to build this foundation.”
