E-waste Prevention, Management and Recycling
□ Protecting human health and the environment from the potentially harmful effects of manufacturing, use, recovery, recycling and disposal of electronic waste has become an increasingly important global issue. The purpose of this activity is to improve regional capacity for the environmentally sound management of used electronics and to share best practices for global waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) management, including pollution prevention, green design of electronic products, environmentally sound dismantling and recycling, improving environmental, health and safety conditions for informal sector recyclers, technology enhancement and promoting best practices within industry.
