The appropriate stator voltage vector can be selected by the
DTC, which is based on the differential value between the
given electromagnetic torque, the stator flux linkage and the
actual electromagnetic torque, the stator flux linkage. The
value of the stator resistance is only used in the DTC and the
current controller and other parameters of the motor are not
required, thus the advantages of the DTC is that fewer
parameters are needed and the faster response of the torque
can be observed compared with the vector control. The DTC
also has the merits of the fast dynamic response, the noncurrent
controller which eliminates built-in system delays
