What truly makes me happy?
So much makes me happy. Today, the top pick is easily our daughter, heading off, bravely, to face a new school, a new way of learning, too. Last year, her small Montessori school just became too drab on many levels. She wanted a change. Now she’s off to try traditional school and their ways: homework, language, forensics, sports galore and even a cafeteria. “They have a cafeteria!” No more eating in the classroom with the same people she’s been going to school with since she was four whom she has grown past. She’s a seventh grader now, full of pre-teen angst and wisdom.
And now I sit in a coffee shop, writing, while I wait for work to begin.
Writing, another activity that makes me truly happy. It seems that my left hand, when I was a little girl, couldn’t wait to put pencil to paper because the very second I learned how to print letters, I quickly turned them into words and then into sentences and then into little stories.
