The Hastings District Council is currently seeking applications for the role of Marketing & Communications Coordinator within the Corporate and Customer Services Group. This is a permanent part-time position, working 32 hours per week.
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator position will be a fast moving, stimulating and varied role, requiring a positive, resourceful and ‘action oriented’ person able to turn their hand to deliver a wide range of engaging and effective activity. Key elements of the role will include the management and implementation of:
• marketing and communications projects
• consultation communications
• key civic events
• selected event owner relationships
We are looking for someone with the following skills, qualities and attributes:
• a people person, with a passion for making things happen, with flair
• at least three years, hands on experience in marketing, communications or events
• strong practical marketing and communications skills across both digital and traditional channels
• effective customer facing, account management skills
• excellent project management and administration skills
• an excess of ‘can do-ness’, married with an enjoyment of working with others to deliver effective and engaging activity
• mature, confident and comfortable dealing with people at a senior level
• able to write engaging content
• a creative/ideas driven approach
• flexibility to work in a supportive, multi-tasking team environment
