To simulate the hot and humid environments, a stainless steel chamber with the size of 5 m × 4 m × 3 m (length × width × height) was built. The heat source of the chamber was provided by stainless steel flake-shaped heaters and the humidity source was provided by stainless steel humidifiers. The temperature and relative humidity in the chamber could be adjusted from −20 °C to 85 °C and 20%–98%. There was a temperature and humidity probe on the top of the chamber to monitor the real-time temperature and relative humidity. To maintain the temperature and relative humidity, the chamber was airtight and well insulated. In addition, to ensure the security of the people in the chamber, an alarm function and protection system was installed in the chamber.
