Nestled in an ever-green mountainous area, Bo Klue is now a new tourist destination for Nan. Bo Klue’s salt is a major product that has generated income for local people in this district since the ancient time. Now people still follow traditional salt-producing process, siphoning saltwater to a pond through bamboo pipes. Then they put it in a large pan on a stove, until the water evaporates, leaving salt grains that will be kept in baskets until it is dry and then packaged in a plastic bag. Salt is seasonal product, available only in the summer and winter as rain will obstruct the processing.
