least improvement in its textural properties with surface area of
11.40 m2 g1
. Thus, an attempt was made to increase the surface
area of samples by undergoing surfactant-hydration treatment, followed
by mild thermal activation of samples. The BET results
showed that CS-Ca(OH)2-EG-400, CS-Ca(OH)2-DE-400 and CSCa(OH)2-CTAB-400
were 78.38 m2 g1
, 80.13 m2 g1
and
8.48 m2 g1
, respectively. The samples treated by EG and DE rendered
comparable data as STD nano-Ca(OH)2 (84.44 m2 g1
), which
was 8 times higher than untreated CS-CaO.
