Innovative work culture
URAs staff involvement programme is one of the main
levers used to develop a more innovative work culture.
URA measures the effectiveness of its staff involvement
programme using the following indicators:
• The number and quality of staff suggestions
• The number of Innovation of the Month Awards
given out
• Percentage of staff who feel that URA is an innovative
organization.
In terms of the quality of staff suggestions. the percentage
of suggestions accepted for implementation has improved
from 90% in FYOS to 92% in FY07 (see Figure 7.3 . 1 ).
Projects that have a great impact on customers are
considered For URAs Innovation of the Month Awards
(IMAs) [see Figure 7 .3 .2).
Based on tile Employee Opinion Survey (EOS) 1 results,
the percentage of staff who felt that URA is an innovative
organization has increased from 90% in 2004 to 94%
in 2006. This shows that efforts towards building an
innovative work culture in URA are producing the desired
results (see Figure 7 3 3)
