Moorman et al. (1992) have defined commitment as an enduring desire to maintain a valued relationship. This implies a higher level of obligation to make a relationship succeed and to make it mutually satisfying and beneficial (Gundlach et al., 1995; Morgan and Hunt, 1994)
Morgan and Hunt (1994) define commitment as an exchange partner believing that an ongoing relationship with another is so important as to guarantee maximum attempts at preserving it. That is the perceived significance and high value of the relationship to the committed partner.
