One thing everyone watching this film based on true story could realize the same is the importance of ‘Freedom’, I believe. The life without freedom is a sad story. Whether you are rich or poor, just you have freedom in your living, it is the best of your life. Also, this film has made me feel depressed and sorriest to see that bad behavior of humanities. It is not fair to scorningly treat someone called ‘slave’ like that. Human slavery should not be accepted for any part of the world. Nationality, race, region, colour, and even origin are not the factors to decide whoever working for you that they are your slaves.
I think this film reflects viewing and feeling of those slaves very well, including their livelihood. Furthermore, it also enable me to understand the real value of one’s life that it means living with freedom. While we are living well here, there is still someone who is facing with several hardship in his/her life in any part of the world, He/She has to work as if he/she is not human and living under control of the person who called himself that ‘master’.
In my opinion, ’12 years a slave’ was one of nominated best picture of Oscar (In 2014), and ultimately it has got award which I greatly agree. Moreover, this film has won the award of the supporting actress and adapted screenplay as well. All characters are appropriate for their roles, especially the main actor named Solomon. Although its content is rather serious, it attracts audience’s heart and ends with happy ending. The cinematographic technique is very excellent. Anyone who never see this movie, I suggest you to see it. I am sure it will be worth for your time. You will never be disappointed and will have it in your heart as one of your favorite movie certainly.
