3.3. Participants
All workplaces were situated in Sweden, and each had a different type of business (see Table 2). Most respondents at all workplaces, except one (E), were men. The age distribution and years of employment differed among the workplaces. Most of the respondents did not have any management responsibilities. Thehighest degree was in intervention B, where six respondents had employer responsibility. Intervention F had four, and intervention had E twelve. The rest of the workplaces had one respondent each with employer responsibility. The average opinion of work was almost the same at all workplaces. The opinions were between 4.2 and 4.6 on a scale from 1 to 6: (1) ‘‘This is a job like all others. You do what you are supposed to do, but the only thing that matters are the salary” to (6) ‘‘There is something special with this job. Except the salary, it gives me a feeling of personal satisfaction.” Intervention C and F differed from the rest, with lower averages (3.9 and 3.4, respectively).
