1. Introduction
The process described is based on the interaction of a semiconductor with a spiropyran complex involving a chain reaction responsible for amplification (sensitivity). A print is produced instantly by projection of a color original onto the sensitive emulsion and can be fixed by heat.
The photosensitive emulsion comprises three basic elements; a photosensitive material (spiropyran complex), a semiconductor and a binder containing a crosslinkable polymer. The system photosensitive material semiconductor is encountered under three forms corresponding to the three elementary colors and evenly dispersed in a binder.
The sensitive material used in the process results of the complexation of a spiropyran with a metal.
