novel photo catalyst Ag-AgBr/TiO2 hetero structured nano fibers was fabricated by means of combining solvothermal technique with photo reduction method based on the electrospun TO2 nano fibers support.And, X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photo electron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), UV–visspectrophotometer (UV–vis), and photoluminescence (PL) measurements were used to characterize the structure, morphology, and properties of the as prepared photo catalysts. Further, the photo catalytic activity of photo catalysts was tested by degrading methylene blue dye under visible light. As a result, the photo catalytic activity of the Ag-AgBr/TiO2 hetero structured nano fibers is far superior to that of TiO2 nano fibers and Ag-AgBr power, which could beattributed to the surfaceplasmon resonance effect of Ag nano particles and the synergetic effect between the three components of Ag, AgBr and TiO2. Significantly, the stability and recycling of the photo catalyst was also investigated. The possible mechanism related to the photo catalytic performance of theAg-AgBr/TiO2 hetero structured nano fibers was also gone deep into discuss.
