Data were analyzed using Statistical Analysis System
(SAS) version. 9.1. Descriptive statistics were
used to describe the characteristics of the sample
and analyze the feasibility, compliance, and acceptability
data. Means and standard deviations were
calculated for continuous variables and frequencies
and percentages for categorical variables.
A two-tailed level of signi¢cance at po0.05 was
used for the analysis of the secondary outcomes.
For continuous data, an independent two-sample
t test was used to assess di¡erences between the
intervention and control group at 4 and 8 weeks
postpartum. For dichotomous data, chi-square
tests were used to assess di¡erences between
groups. Consistent with pilot studies, no power
analysis was conducted; therefore, data analysis
was performed to identify any trends regarding the
potential e¡ects of the self-e⁄cacy intervention.
