Therefore as espoused by social model of disability and Wilson
model of information behaviour, university libraries must ensure that
students living with visual impairments are enabled to seek, access
and use information resources housed in the library by providing such
resources in suitable formats, training library staff to assist students
living with visual impairments to use the information resources
required. Also university libraries need to ensure there are working
lifts and ramps for students living with visual impairments to gain
access easily to the information resources housed in the library. In
addition students living with visual impairments need guides and
tools suitable for them to locate information resources needed easily
and independently.
