Workers with current asthma reported a physician diagnosis of
asthma that was still present. Asthma-like symptoms was
defined as one or more of the following: wheezing or whistling
in the chest in the previous 12 months; being woken up with a
feeling of tightness in the chest in the previous 12 months; an
attack of asthma in the previous 12 months; or currently taking
any medicine for asthma [10].Work-related symptoms improved
away from work.
