Temperature and salinity were recorded daily at 2 m depth.
The average temperature decreased during the experiment from
13.9°C (minimum 10.8°C, maximum 15.2°C) in period 1 to
9.5°C (minimum 5.5°C, maximum 13.0°C) in period 2. The
salinity was on average 25 g L–1 salt (minimum 19 g L–1 S and
maximum 31 g L–1 S).
