If you are unsure of what any of the following experiments are helping you illustrate, please refer back to the earlier parts of this manual. It is important to understand that children are not learning (eg. Experiment #2) why adding rubbing alcohol initiates swirling and rotation. The goal of our lesson is to allow children to illustrate the events in their minds and retain the visual memory of the swirling and the rotation when you tell the story of how a star is formed.
