Role purpose
• Provide operational support to crops and functions research activities at the site.
• Work closely with NSPP/ crop breeders and other subject experts for the support to their trials and research activities at site.
• Timely support for operational activities and implement Capex projects
• Provide statutory compliance support for the R&D farms
Accountabilities
• Effective work planning to achieve operational efficiency at site.
• Management of station purchases, maintenance / AMCs / accounts, vendors, HR, Admin support, security of company assets.
• Maintenance of farm machineries and lab equipment’s.
• Capex planning and executions, compliance management at site.
• Execute crop programs to the expectations of the breeding and research staff
• Develop crop specific fertilizer and irrigation protocols that maximize the potential of the breeding programs
• Work alone and with others to insure that crop protocols and crop management procedures are followed
• Measure and monitor key performance metrics related to both the quality and productivity of crop programs
• Manage contract employees and daily labours through their vendors as per the research projects requirements.
• Conduct periodic operational reviews with members of the research and breeding teams to assess success of programs
• Forecast weekly labour needs and work with others to achieve desired outcomes in an efficient and productive manner
• Assist in the development of annual operating budgets and capital investment plans
• Prepare monthly written progress reports for the NSPP Head.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings to share progress and discuss opportunities for improvement
• Keep machinery and equipment’s fit for the farm operations purpose.
• Responsible to maintain high level of HSE standards to improve individual safety and identify workplace for hazards and mitigation opportunities.

• Fully understand farm operations and crop management practices.
• Technical knowledge of breeding (nurseries), seed production or processing (NSPP) or related expertize area
• Delivered efficiency gain by improved communication and communication with multiple stakeholders
• Build up effective interfaces and ways of working with the Seeds R&D
Knowledge, experience & capabilities
Critical knowledge
• Bachelor degree in Agriculture or related field
• Knowledge of crop and farm management with 2-3 years preferable
• Sound analytical & problem solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholders skills
