In Vietnam, this is how parents teach their kids back in the days. Not so much anymore since now people aren't so ignorant in vietnam and know better. Or at least I hope so. This is probably cute because it shows how a dog is being treated like a human child. His words are said so in a very loving tone like a parent would to their child but that poor puppy is not a human child. He doesn't know what his "daddy" is saying and that use of the stick is very terrifying for that puppy. I'm sure he's been hit with it to be that afraid of it. And a puppy that small being hit with a stick hurts a lot more than a human child being spanked with a stick. The puppy just don't understand and he's so afraid. But for people commenting, they need to understand that there's a cultural difference on how pets are trained in Vietnam and the U.S. And so the social Norms in each country will become very shocking to one another. I'm a Vietnamese-American so I have an idea of where both sides are coming from. I'm sure the owner of this dog loves him very much but is not training the dog to American standards. His intentions sounds pure but the way he execute this training seems like mistreatment. The owner is ignorant and doesn't know how to train the puppy better. Even though this isn't the right way to potty train a puppy, you shouldn't be so harsh to people or a whole race without understanding that there's a whole world out there that is different from the U.S.
