Tequila It's made exclusively from the fermented and distilled juices of a
cactus-like plant commonly known as the Agave. First they grow a huge crop of Blue Agave plants until they are mature, then harvest the Agave "hearts" or cores ( referred to as " Piñas " ) by removing all the outer leaves. Then stuff the Piñas into great big ovens and bake for roughly 3 days straight, depending on which distillery is doing the baking. The Piñas are allowed to cool and then are shredded and pressed to extract the yummy cactus juices. The proper fermentation ingredients are added to the extracted juices and the cactus concoction is left to get happy and ferment in huge stainless steel tanks. The fermented cactus juices are then distilled at least twice to remove impurities, in large copper steamers.
The finished pure Tequila is then either bottled immediately. Tequila, or it is stored to be aged and bottled
