EM mode with "Recovery I41 Push FuncToStart" issue
roduct:
TS3000 Ver.1.00-Ver1.11
CAUTION:
Please do not push function button when EM mode
Background:
When boot (1st) partition is broken, TS3000 boots from NAND on the board with EM mode.
Then display will show "Recovery I41 Push FuncToStart".
At this time if you push function button, then the unit will be initialized completely (ALL partitions will be deleted and re-created)!
Plan:
New firmware will be published soon. (only boot and rootFS partition will be refreshed)
Please wait the new firmware to fix EM mode and do not push function button.
Other than above case, there is no problem with pushing function button.
When rootFS (2nd) partition is broken, TS3000 boots from HDD's boot (1st) partition with EM mode.
Then display will NOT show "Recovery I41 Push FuncToStart". (because this case is not the NAND boot)
At this time even if you push function button, then nothing will happen and you will be able to do normal firmware update without losing data.
Boot with initializing USB drive then display shows "Recovery I41 Push FuncToStart".
You only can initialize settings.
And boot and rootFS partition will be forced to be overwritten. User data will be remaining.
Thus this method is useful not only initializing setting but also boot failure.
But If HDD1's partitions is/are broken, this method will delete ALL paritions like this time's issue.
