Although several psychometric tests are available on the market, not all of them are designed by psychometric test experts. For reliable results, the design of the test has to be valid and free from any bias. This, however, is difficult to achieve. Cognitive tests often contain culture bias and the designer's personal opinions also introduce a bias into the test. Psychometric tests designed by individuals without adequate training and qualification are incapable of providing an accurate picture of a candidate's capabilities. In some cases, candidates may feel none of the options provided are applicable to a given question, but they have to choose one of them, as these tests do not provide the means to create a new answer.
