Dennis: Excuse me? Are you new here?
Harry: Yes. My name is Harry.
Dennis: Hi, Harry. Call me Dennis. I’m a personnel officer. Is there anything I can
help?
Harry: Of course. I’d like to know whether anyone can smoke in here.
Dennis: This is the restricted area but we have a smoking room at the end of the hall.
Harry: Actually, I’m allergic to smoke.
Dennis: If you are unwell, a first aid room is on the first floor near the break room.
Harry: Good! Are there public phones in the office if I want to make a personal call?
Dennis: Pay phones are available here. They are at the front of my office near the
exit.
Harry: That would be very nice.
Dennis: How do you get to work?
Harry: I usually take a bus to work but today I rode my motorbike here.
Dennis: Do you know where you can park your vehicle?
Harry: I don’t know. Now I park it in front of the office.
Dennis: We arrange a parking space for bikes at the back of the building. Follow the
sign. Don’t forget to lock your bike.
Harry: Today I’m in a hurried. I forgot to take a safety helmet.
Dennis: Really? You’re very lucky. We have a very strict traffic law in this town.
You will have to be fined $50 the next time you’re on a ride without a helmet.
Harry: On the way to work, I’ve passed the hospital.
Dennis: Yeah, the street past the hospital is the speed limit area. Don’t ride over the
speed limit and keep on your own lane.
Harry: And don’t use horn, right?
Dennis: That’s right.
Harry: Are there any lockers for staff to deposit values?
Dennis: Certainly! They’re in the dressing room. You can ask for your locker key
from the personnel manager.
Harry: Anyway, thank you very much for your help.
Dennis: Don’t mention it. See you later.
