Standard split/splitless injection at a split ratio of 80:1 was used with an injector temperature of 250 °C. The column temperature increased from 140 °C to 240 °C at a rate of 4 °C min−1 . The detector temperature was 280 °C. A FAME Mix C4-C24 and a PUFA No. 1, Marine Source (Sigma) were used as external standards to identify the FAMEs based on their retention time. The percent composition was determined based on the peak area of each individual FAME relative to the total area of the sample
