Many genera of superfamily Paramphistomodea are difficult to differentiate on gross morphological characteristics, but Sey et al. (1997) has clearly separated them using
histological examination of median sagittal paraffin sections of adult amphistomes using features of pharynx, teminal genitalium, and acetabulum. However, identification
based histology has caused confusion for some researchers especially since the features of those organs depend on proper specimen preparation. In this study, we tried to evaluate differentiation at DNA level between the three genus species found in infected cattle using the HAT-RAPD technique.
