Supansa ,thanks greatly my daughter, I'm quite impressed in your beautiful mail.
When my son Cliff was born, a friend shared a comment that stopped me in my tracks. She said: “If you’re only going to have one child, I’m glad you had a boy, because sons never leave you, but daughters do.
I nodded knowingly, but I didn't really have a clue what she meant. But as the years have passed, and friends’ sons have married, I now understand.
Sons do stay . As they should. When a son marries, mom is replaced by their daughter in-law as the as the woman in that boy’s life. I got my husband almost as Cliff got you now, this beautiful Sunday. It was quite trendy then. I feared as you do for long distance relationship, but today I am the one enjoying it. All my family in Malaysia comes to our home in US like theirs too. Most are living and working here with their families alike through me. Some are dual citizens too. The beauty is that as an American citizen you are very free to travel at ease, relocate at will. At times my spouse and I live in Malaysia for a year long and come back here. As my own daughter Supansa, I should advice you to marry Cliff , you have nothing to loose as far as I am here to guide you in all things an in accordance to our English culture. Cliff will help you and you will also help Cliff as both of you continue to move on in life.
I've only just read your beautiful, gracious and thoughtful letter and I’m so glad I did , understanding your doubt and fears, but do not fret over anything as its all for real. If not I wouldn't be encouraging you to move on with him. Thank you so much. I've bragged more than once about what a pleasure (and relief!) it has been to have you joined our family. I love you and my Husband and brilliant kids of mine love you too. I always consider myself very fortunate that you are not only wonderful especially the way you write but will be a good replacement of me here in our family when I'm no more . How about your handsome son parents? Cliff says he loves you in the spirit. You know heart sees what the eyes doesn't see. So both of you will ever be happy. Enjoy yourself my daughter. Please help Cliff in his plans to establish his business and building your home to the best you can, remember both of you owns whatever you have. Help him in anyway you can OK? as your husband to be.
Yours Dr. Juliet Hudson
