competitive, it is absolutely critical for a travel destination to stay abreast of, utilise
and creatively develop information technology capacity. In many countries, there is
collaboration between the public sector and the travel industry to enhance marketing
and product development and to insure that growth in the tourism industry takes into
consideration the rest of the community, including the natural environment, and that it
collaborates with the local leisure-time industry.
