Outcome measures
The GMFM and the Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory-Functional Skills Scale (PEDI-FSS) were selected as outcome measures because both are commonly used in children with CP and meet the criteria for reliability and validity with respect to responsiveness to change. The GMFM assesses the capacity of the International Classification of Function (ICF), while the PEDI-FSS measures performance in functional activities of daily life. When used together, the GMFM and PEDI provide a comprehensive picture of a child’s functional abilities at the ICF activities level.
