Most species were considered endemic. However, some pantropical or peregrine species were represented, such as the endogeic Nematogenia panamaensis (Eisen 1900). The peregrine epigeics, Dichogaster bolaui (Michaelsen 1891), and D. annae (Horst 1893) were represented at very low densities and only in two of the cropped plots. Rosadrilus camerunensis Cognetti, 1909 was the sole anecic species identified. In addition, there were ten epigeic species and six endogeic species recorded.
