CMK-3 was prepared by using mesoporous SBA-15 silica as a
template and sucrose as carbon source. SBA-15 and CMK-3 were
prepared according to the literature procedures [10,11]. The CMK-3
served as a host material for supporting Cu to obtain Cu/CMK-3. Briefly,
0.4 g of CMK-3 was dispersed in 50 mL of 0.05 M CuCl2 solution under
ultrasonic agitation to form uniform suspension, then 0.18 mL of
NH3·H2O (25 wt.%, the molar ratio of ammonia/Cu2+ was about 1:1)
was slowly dropped into the suspension with intensively stirring for
24 h. The sample was washed with distilled water and absolute ethanol,
and then dried in vacuum at 60 °C for 6 h. A composite of coppersupported CMK-3 was thus obtained.
