Conclusions
In conclusion, various high concentration of the extract and essential oil of S. pisidica had antioxidant activities and antimicrobial effects.
Therefore, it is suggested that further work be performed on the isolation and identification of the antioxidative and antimicrobial components of the extract and essential oil of S. pisidica.
These results showed that S. pisidica essential oil and extract could be considered as a natural alternative to traditional food preservatives and be used to enhance food safety and shelf life.
