was increased in chickens fed diets supplemented
with yeast product and Lactobacillus-based probiotic
culture, respectively. Our previous study on probiotics
products incorporating Lactobacillus fermentum and
Saccharomyces cerevisiae indicated that they improved
the intestinal balance of the diverse microflora species
in the rectum of broiler chickens
