This books was just an OK read for me. I found myself getting bored and uninterested at the parts of the novel that were supposed to be interesting. Classic spiel about how evil consumerism is. I found it to be ridiculous that the main character allows her life to be consumed by her job, forsaking everything she holds dear in order to pursue a career path she doesn't even end up following because at the end of the novel she gives it all up at the LAST possible second (to choose what is "right and just") after everything has already been destroyed in her personal life, leaving her with nothing. Andy is a weak heroine and not at all an ideal model of feminism or a strong female character. Additionally, the characters in this book are underdeveloped and droll. I don't even know how I managed to finish this book.
I would recommend this story to anyone! It's meant to be an adult novel, but there really isn't anything too sexual or mature in there, so teenagers and even preteens could probably read it! and the writer used a lot of interesting words.
