When I was a child, my family and I used to go to a local
supermarket that was close to our home. I enjoyed accompanying my parents at the
supermarket because I could buy different toys and candies. The toys that the
supermarket had for sale were not available in toy stores. Most of the toy stores in
town didn’t carry toys like this supermarket; this market had small dolls with their
houses and small remote control cars. The supermarket was organized in a unique
way that made its interior look different from the other grocery stores. I still
remember how I used to run in the aisles of the market because they were wilder
and more open than the other stores, and my mom would tell me not to run inside. I
remember the noise of children crying in every corner of the store, the radio playing
classic music, and the cashier who gave stickers to all the children to make them
happy. The employees also served samples of cookies.
The market had a variety of items that attracted most of its customers.
The shelves in the supermarket were orderly: the food cans were stacked behind
each other neatly, and chips, soft drinks, candies, and bottles of water were placed
on the shelves. The patterns of floor tiles were hexagon in shape and were colored in
many different colors, my cousin and I used to play hopscotch in the supermarket
because of the square tiles that were on the floor.
The interior of the supermarket matched the items that were offered for sale.
On some parts of the supermarkets walls, there were drawings and paintings of
animals, cartoons, and candies. The paintings looked like real images or pictures
taken by a photographer. The supermarket had paintings of cows displayed above
the area where dairy product were sold. The drawings and paintings that were on
