Participants reported working with up to 10+ students with disabilities in a typical week. The greater proportion
of TAs (38.7%) worked with 4 to 6 students in a typical week. The results showed that participants worked with
5 to 8 different teachers (60.8%) across 5 to 8 different subjects (63.2%) during a typical week.
The majority of responses indicated that TAs typically work with students with disabilities in /or mostly in
general classroom settings (68.0%). The majority of participants worked evenly between working in groups or
one-on-one with the students they support (93.1%). A smaller number of participants responded that they worked
only in groups or only one-on-one (6.9%). A minority of participants indicated they worked mostly or always in
special education/withdrawal classes (5.7%).
