SEXTING
WHAT IS IT?
Sexting is a punishable offense in the United States. A teenager texting nude or partially nude photographs of themselves or friends can be charged with distribution of child pornography. In addition, those who receive these pictures can be charged with possession of child pornography as well. IT IS AGAINST THE LAW!
· We want you to be aware that sexting is a very serious offense that could end in your program being terminated.
· If you think sexting is harmless, THINK AGAIN!
· If you are thinking of sending a picture of yourself nude or partially nude and that only your boyfriend or girlfriend will see it, THINK AGAIN!
· If you think sexual predators will not have access to these photos, THINK AGAIN!
Ask yourself, is it worth it to lose your whole year, to be sent home and disappoint your parents?
As always, our main objective is to keep you safe and sexting can be a very dangerous road to embark on. Use your head; don’t be impulsive!
