Dear Mr. Maneechoti,
I had the pleasure to discuss to-day with Mr.Prida and to clarify your forthcoming visit to Belgium and Turbowinds.
He also confirmed your intention to buy the five first wind-turbines from Turbowinds. We recommend the model T400,which is presently very popular, and which would immediately find many opportunities in the ASEAN area, and islands.
We suggested the price of €450000,but without tower, because we are sure that the towers could be easily built in Thailand, for instance, and we would provide the drawings to you,of course.
Mr Prida also suggested the opening of an account at ING bank in Belgium.
We could, when you arrive, arrange an appointment at the headquarters of ING,and open together a joint venture or an escrow account with your signature.
In any case,in order to prepare the bank,we would ask you to send us a letter of intent to order the five wind-turbines,and the possibility for us to issue a down-payment invoice. We would then subsequently issue a down payment invoice of 30% of the total amount of the order.
Normally, this down-payment should be accompanied by an irrevocable, divisible, transferable Letter of Credit, confirmed by ING,which would of course encourage the bank and give them a reason to open the account immediately.
Turbowinds is now very busy assembling a batch of wind-turbines for the UK,and you will be able to witness the work in process.
We had to borrow from private parties funds necessary to order the remaining components of the machines, which means that our company's cash position is very tight
This in turn prevents us from inviting you as we would have liked, taking care of your hotel and transport whilst in Belgium. We shall do our utmost, however, to take care of your stay as best as we can.
The amount of the down-payment will be essentially devoted to buy components for the machines, but Mr Prida suggested that we could request some more funds from you,in the form, for instance of a 50% down-payment.This would allow us to refund most of the borrowed amount and be free to negociate with your group an interest in Turbowinds ,without having at the back of our mind, the necessity to reimburse borrowed funds and abandon maybe a part of the company to people interested in buying it,and not offering the vast opportunities of your group in the ASEAN market.
Mr Prida has mentioned so much about you and your multiple interests in business and help to so many worthy causes, that our team and of course myself are very impatient to welcome you to Belgium.
We wish you in the meantime an excellent journey to Europe, and remain,
very sincerely yours,
Jean-Pierre Dutry
