This finding is in line with previous research showing that the implementation
of cold-water immersion (10 min at 10C) after 90 min of shuttle running did not enhance vertical jump performance in young active males at 24 and 48 h of recovery compared with a non-immersion control group (Bailey et al., 2007). Our results suggest, therefore, that compared with thermoneutral immersion, cold-water immersion does not enhance restoration of physical test performance between successive matches.
