Conclusion are the author’s interpretation of what the results mean and their relevance to clinical practice.
Unlike the Results section, the Conclusions section of the clinical study includes editorial commentary by the authors. Authors are free to focus on what they think are the most important findings of the study and may not discuss every result that was observed. The authors will also note if results of the study were consistent with those of other studies, which would likely enhance the credibility of their study among HCPs. Often, the Conclusions section includes questions raised by the results which may lead to further research.
Conclusions are considered the “take home messages” about the topic under study that could be used in interactions with HCPs.
