2010). Recent evidence has suggested that the personality factors have been used to predict Facebook use (Amichai-Hamburger and Vinitzky, 2010; Ross et al.,2009). Many experts in the field of personality psychology have agreed that the best domain of personality can be best described by the Big Five dimension of personality (Moore and McElroy, 2011) using the Five-Factor Model (FFM). This model, as described by Costa and McCrae(1992), conceptualizes the hierarchy of personality traits into a series of five basic dimensions such as neuroticism, extraversion, openness to experience,agreeableness and conscientiousness. Since this model has established its usefulness for both clinical practices and empirical research projects (Costa and McCrae,1992), this study intends to use it as theoretical underpinning to generate predictions among aforesaid factors.
