Butter is a natural food product and one of the most expensive
edible fats, costing about nine-ten times more than palm oil. The
name of butter is legally protected in the European Union. Ac-
cording to Regulation (EC) No. 2991/94, it is a product made solely
from milk. In the production of butter, it is only admissible to use
pasteurized cream, starters and natural color. Due to the low cost of
