INTRODUCTION
Dear future students!
We are happy that you want to study at the University of Warsaw. It’s a
great choice! Our university is the biggest in Poland, and we have put
enormous effort into making it Poland’s best and most student-friendly. In
ever wishing to ensure and improve the quality of education, we aspire to
prepare our students to make avail of all the opportunities open to them
through the knowledge they gain at UW. In 2007 our university was again
ranked at the very top in evaluations carried out by such well-respected
magazines and newspapers as Wprost, Rzeczpospolita, and Perspektywy.
The qualifications of UW graduates are highly valued on the labor market.1
One reason behind our excellent ratings is our application of modern
management methods. For many years we have been using various IT
systems that serve to support e.g., teaching and the recruitment process.
The University considers the Internet an important tool for communication
with students. The Central Token Registration System (USOS), which is a
modern and user-friendly IT tool, serves our students from recruitment all
the way until they obtain their diplomas.
