Management's role is to run interference
■ A highly motivated team does not need to be told what to do, but
they may need to give their leaders some advice
■ Management may need to provide resources/protection
■ The team will maintain momentum if team members know
someone is looking out for them
○ Create sense of belonging
■ On a healthy team everyone understands what the goal is and be
committed to it
■ Team members must understand that they succeed and fail as a
group
