Desorption studies were performed in batch using 0.01 M and 0.1 M of HCl, HCOOH, EDTA, and NaOH. 25 mL Cu2+ solution of 100 mg L1 metal ion concentration was treated separately with 0.05 g of adsorbent. The adsorbent in each flask was washed several times with distilled water to remove
excess of metal ions. Then Cu2+ saturated adsorbent was agitated with 25 mL eluent for 180 min. The amount of Cu2+ desorbed in the eluent solution was analyzed by AAS.
