50 year old female with ELAP, TAH, BSO, APPY, all pathology negative for malignancy. The nurse practitioner noted a foul smell from the patient, who did not appear to have great hygiene. Vital signs were within normal limits, afebrile, and had an uncomplicated recovery. On post-operative day three the patient had flatus and her diet was advanced and she was discharged. The patient was re-admitted one week later, for cellulitis to her abdomen, once again the foul smell was noted by the nurse practitioner. Infectious Disease was consulted and antibiotic therapy was started
