Plant purpose
CO2 is provided from burning of bunker fuel at low pressure to the CO2 FBP for compression, purification, liquefaction and distillation to provide high purity liquid CO2 into storage for road, rail, and pipeline distribution.
Plant refrigeration system
Refrigeration for cooling and liquefaction is provided by an Ammonia (NH3) refrigeration system. Low-pressure liquid ammonia is used to absorb heat from the CO2 gas and cool it to a temperature low enough to condense the CO2 into a liquid.

Plant carbon dioxide process
Fuel bunker tank delivered to the plant by Shell. The fuel from bunker tank pumps to fuel storage tank then to the day tank. The bunker fuel is then burned at the boiler (MEA Heater), The CO2 at the flue gas is then recovered through the MEA solution, Then passes through various vessels to be compressed, cooled, purified by removal of impurities and condensed into a liquid, before entering the storage tanks for shipment.
Temperature range
All equipment is provided for indoor operation at temperatures between 35°F and 100°F.
