These
results are in agreement with those reported by other authors.
For instance, after 6 days at 5 C, Gil, Aguayo, and Kader (2006)
found vitamin C losses of 5% in mango, strawberry and watermelon
pieces, 10% in pineapple pieces, 12% in kiwi slices and 25% in cantaloupe
cubes. Also, Del Caro et al. (2004) reported vitamin C losses
in minimally processed citrus fruits during cold storage.
